Biosketch
Stavros Theodorakis was born in Athens in 1984. He received the Diploma degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Ph.D. degree from National Technical University of Athens in 2008 and 2014 respectively. From 2009-2012 worked as a researcher in DICTA-SIGN a European Union FP7, Specific Targeted Research-Innovation Project. In addition from 2012-2014 worked as a researcher in MOBOT a European Union FP7, Specific Targeted Research-Innovation Project. His research interests lie in the general area of Pattern Recognition and Computer Vision and more specifically in gesture, sign language and multimodal gesture recognition.
